HOW DO YOU KNOW A POINT IS NEW AND CLEAN?
Okay, say you’ve hooked up and you and the person you’re
partying with want to slam?
How do you know that the points available to you are brand spanking
new and sterile?
Take a look at a point that still has its orange cap. IF AND ONLY
IF the point is new you will see a small melted indentation where
the orange cap meets the barrel. This melted spot, while really
small and seemingly insignificant, should offer some resistance
when you twist off the cap. If there’s no resistance, ditch
the point and start with another one.
Truly boys, the best way to be sure that point is new and ready
for you is to get your very own supply at a needle exchange! The
folks there will gladly help you out, even if you’ve got
no used points to drop off.
