If you’re about to make a significant change in your life (if you’ve read this far you just might be on your way to such a change) you’re going to want to make it as simple as possible on yourself so you can build a foundation for success with later, larger goals. What are the venues where you’ve used? Chances are you now identify some of these with both using and sex, even if you didn’t actually have sex there: online cruising and hook-up sites, phone lines, parks, bars and clubs, sex parties and bathhouses are all places you might want to stay away from for the time being. Some of us found that staying away from our sure-fire hook-up spots decreased the number of using buddies we crossed paths with; sometimes we had to completely curtail our interactions with fuck buddies and every tweaker’s best friend, the dealer. Speaking of dealers, you’re going to have to get rid of their email address or phone number or both and, just maybe, change your address and phone number so he can’t call you to ask what’s up.
